Arrive in Lucca in time to rest up and have an Italian dinner on Thursday, Oct. 18th. Begin your workshop with a delicious breakfast served to you in the dining room of a piazza turned B & B. Everyday you will have the option of a  30-45 minute painting and sketching lesson from California Artist and Teacher, Barbara Roth.  You'll learn how to paint and draw what you see with Barbara's simple to understand lessons on how to keep a watercolor travel journal.  All of the art lessons are for all levels of students from absolute reluctant beginner to advanced painters. 

You'll explore Lucca and have lots of time to savor the sights and flavors Lucca has to offer, from elegant age old churches and museums, charming village squares, restaurants and cafes big and small, all kinds of shops from designer goods to ethnic arts and of course you will stroll along the park like walls of Lucca and take a bike ride along them if you're in the mood.

Some of the neighboring towns you will visit and explore include the hilltop town of Montecarlo,Bagni di Lucca and a few of its surrounding 25 villages, Pisa and the Cinque Terre
